breaking traditional constraints
The Sterling will set a new benchmark for Lime Living’s vision to deliver a new level of product in seniors living and care in the New Zealand market. Lime Living see The Sterling as an opportunity to challenge the status quo and redefine the ageing experience.
The central communal facilities are planned to encourage community integration where intergenerational family connections can be fostered. More than providing built form for seniors living, this new development is about changing people’s lives for the better through a unique lifestyle, living offering.
We presented and implemented new and innovative ideas as a trusted partner to Lime Living, without the bounds of traditional constraints and pre-conceived ideas often associated with a larger, more well-established operator.
The Sterling emphasizes creating a vibrant community where residents can thrive, finding purpose and a sense of belonging. Seamlessly integrating amenities, wellness facilities, independent living apartments, and a care home, this resort-like development is nestled alongside the picturesque Waimakariri River.
The architectural design of The Sterling blends cultural symbolism with contemporary aesthetics. Natural materials like timber, stone, and glass harmoniously merge with the landscape, creating a sense of tranquility and connection to the surroundings.
This multigenerational master plan caters to diverse needs, fostering a genuine sense of community and interaction. A state-of-the-art wellness center promotes physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic care. The independent living apartments offer luxurious and independent lifestyles within a supportive community.
Residents can enjoy recreational activities in this riverside location, providing a resort-like atmosphere for relaxation, rejuvenation, and a closer connection with nature.
The Sterling’s attractive and exceptionally-appointed two-bedroom villas include:
– A choice of a variety of exterior facades and two interior colour schemes
– Spacious, open-plan design, with raised ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and well-appointed bathrooms and kitchen
– Ample storage, a separate laundry room, and spacious internal access garage
– Beautiful, outdoor living spaces with indoor-outdoor flow.
Once complete, The Sterling, Kaiapoi will offer 81 villas, 245 apartments, 48 care suites and 36 memory care suites. Amenities will include a café, club lounge, bar, gym, swimming pool, spa, bowling and putting green, library and communal gardens, and much more.
The Sterling villas have been very popular, there is one completed villa ready to move in now, with further villas under construction and due for completion in November 2023.
Villas for over 60 are still under construction as part of the broader community surrounding the new master plan. The new master plan has been lodged recently and is with council for approval, expected by mid June 2023. The first stage of works is expected to be for Amenities building and Building E apartments.
